serene traditional stay with easy access to local parks and temples

the warm hospitality of the staff and the traditional ryokan experience made this stay incredibly enjoyable, and i loved being just under 5 km from beautiful parks like kimigaoka and the stunning kanshinji temple, perfect for afternoon strolls and sightseeing.

our stay at nanten-en was fantastic! the private onsen in our japanese-style family room felt like our own peaceful retreat, surrounded by nature. we indulged in a delicious wagyu dinner course with so much food that we couldn’t finish it all! the seasonal outdoor swimming pool added a nice touch to the relaxing atmosphere.

Perfect spot for some peace!

I had a chill 2-night stay in a Japanese-style standard twin room. The food was super tasty, way better than I expected! I spent time meditating and walking through rice fields, such a vibe! The staff were super friendly and always there to help. Just wish the wifi was a bit more reliable.

The shared bathroom is a definite inconvenience!!! Also, I found the indoor onsen to be quite cramped, lacking space for more than a couple of guests. Could definitely be improved for comfort and privacy!!!

We were entranced by the kaiseki dinner, beautifully presented and unique! Breakfast in a yukata added a special touch to our serene stay.

Some dishes in the kaiseki weren’t quite to our taste, which may vary from person to person.

This place suits me perfectly, with free wi-fi, air conditioning, and a seasonal outdoor pool. The staff even helped me with directions to local attractions on my first stay. I can't wait to come back for a holiday!
